Exchange programs with University of Illinois

~A brief summary of the exchanges with the University of Illinois~

 

Target: Students
Summary: We’ve offered internship programs in abroard as a course since 2011.

Students get to learn about the study of the School Social Work and collaboration through these programs.

Main Activities: In January 2010, the 3rd and the 4th year of students who learned School Social Work (SSW) visited the University of Illinois and took some classes. The students also introduced Japanese SSW in English.

They learned about how the study was started in Illinois, where the motherland of the SSW. They also took a tour in the local schools and communities to see how the SSW  was used.

Students stayed at their host families, and they could get to learn the lifestyle in the USA.

In March, we had a study tour at the University of Hawaii for our 2nd-year- students.

Students took a trial lessons, met with the students in the University of Hawaii, and visited some facilities related to the education, the public welfare and the children. All the program was fulfilling to learn.
