UIC Charter School,Jane Addams Hull House
Chicago Public Schools Central Administration
Department of Children and Family Services (DCFC / it’s like children’s consultation office in Japan)
A high school, an elementary school, a family service facility and a health center.
The lectures we took:

Human Behavior in Social Environment (Dr.Chang-Ming Hsieh)
Social Policy Class (Prof.Annette Johnson)
School Social Work,School Mental health and Evidence Based Practice (Dr.Michael Kelly)
What is Charter School?
A school that is supported by a state grant, and is operated by teachers, guardians, and local residents.
This school is allowed to establish its own curriculum.
The school we visited offered classes, which focuses on the health science.
Listened to the SSWer.
A Campus tour by the students of the UIC Communicating with the students.
Visited the National Teacher’s Elementary school.
(Enjoyed teaching elementary school students “ORIGAMI”)
Chicago Public Schools Central Administration
Worked about 1500 people who have various types of jobs related to the education, such as SSWers, or psychologists. There are 600 schools and 450 thousands students in the city of Chicago.
○Relation with the SSWer
Hired about 340 SSWers and sent them to local schools. There are supervisors and coordinators at the CPS.
