What is School Social Work?

The issues regarding children have been complicated in schools. The number of children skipping school is increasing these days and the age of misconduct is becoming lower. Underlying this situation there are severe family issues, including child abuse, neglect and poverty. Schools demand personnel who understand children’s’ environmental issues and who can coordinate among outside agencies to strengthen the ties between agencies. School Social Workers are expected to deal with these issues as social work specialists.
